This is me.

My Why

I love helping others and I want to make a positive impact in the lives of many for generations to come.

Education is extremely important to me.  I believe that deserving students should have access to an education without carrying the burden of student loan debt into their 30’s like I did.

Helping others obtain an education is aligned with “My Why.”  In 2015 I committed to establishing a scholarship fund.  I make regular monthly contributions go into an account with the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation https://www.ghacf.org/.

When the balance reaches $10,000—scholarships will be awarded!

My Goal

My goal is to have the $10,000 minimum by 12/31/17.

This would be about a year ahead of my initial goal date.

The revenue earned here http://sunkissedandblessed.com will be allocated to the scholarship account and I’ll continue to add to the fund; increasing the number of scholarships that can be awarded.

I live in beautiful Spring Lake, Michigan, with my husband, Ryan, and son, Brock.  We have 3 dogs: Primo, Crockett, and Tubbs.  All of us, even the dogs, love swimming in our pool and going for boat rides.  We are looking forward to this summer as we’ll be embarking on a major renovation project on our home [So VERY Excited!]

By day I run my financial planning practice, Kar-Mel Financial Planners, in Grand Haven, Michigan.  By night I’m inspiring and motivating you to pursue your dreams and count your blessings.  I also have a financial literacy website called Sunkissed Money Boutique.  The goal at SKMB is to educate and empower women in a mindset of money mastery and prosperity.

While I am not an artist per se, cooking is my artistic outlet.  I’m an avid reader and regardless of the fact that I’m a born introvert, I love entertaining family and friends.

It’s hard for me to sit still.  In the summer you’ll find me gardening, hanging out by the pool, or boating.  I’ve water skied and knee boarded for years.  Last summer I started wake boarding! In the winter I play indoor tennis, snow ski and snowboard.

While I grew up in a family of believers, it was while I was pregnant that I actively sought God and a church home.  I’m now a member of Allshores Wesleyan Church.  I marvel at how God blesses each one of us, every day!
